No man’s sky how to use economy scanner to find trading post

I wanna try to track down a better ship and have read that trade outposts in wealthy systems are best but I can’t find any trade outposts. What’s the trick to it?

Push down on the d-pad when you’re in your Starship then go to utilities and then choose economy scanner and it will find you a trade Outpost

You can also ask for directions from different aliens, it’ll be a mixed bag from distress signals, outposts, misc buildings.

Doesn’t it even tell you this in the bottom right corner when you warp into a system?

if you don’t have a scanner. warp to a system. look to see what its economy is. travel to the space station. ask every person there for directions you can till a trade station pops up. profit.
if none give you a trade station I assume save and reload would reset npc interactions like that? idk never had to do it

An older trick is to follow those white lines you see leading into planet atmosphere. They lead to trading posts.
